We all to some extent believe that our brain is capable of lot more than we use it. And ofcourse this is true to a great extent. So what is the work of the 80% of the brain which we don’t use?
Some parapsychologists believe that the other 80% of the brain is the most powerful part of it all, this part is capable of telepathy and other psychic phenomenon. I strongly believe in telepathy, the reason is I have seen it in action and that’s too twice(may be more than that..). Yes, this person who is a psychic(my family friend) responded exactly based on what I was thinking. The first time he exactly told the expected days for an event(I knew the period and was thinking abt it) and the next time I deliberately wanted to test him, so mentally posed a question and he responded to it as if he knew what I was asking. If you don’t want to believe in telepathy, then of course there are ways you can prove that it was not at all supernatural.
Definition
Telepathy as definition is the ability to read a persons mind, or by some way influence it.
Another version of it includes the ability to predict the future or the outcome of an event which is not possible by any human calculation to predict, that is precognition. The human history is filled with such descriptions. Almost every one in the hindu mythology seems to possess this marvelous ability as if they are born with it. And almost all other religion and myths have people with telepathic ability.
Origin
So where does the exact present version of telepathy comes from. Well many people have heard the word mesmerism, but very few know the origin of the word. There was once this doctor named Franz Anton Mesmer, he found(hypothesized) that there is some kind of magnetic waves present in all humans which can be transferred and used to heal, he had many such healings and did a great research on it. The then scientific community was very skeptic, they sent a panel of scientists and learned men to find the truth about the claims. These included the chemist Antoine Lavoisier, the physician Joseph-Ignace Guillotin, the astronomer Jean Sylvain Bailly and the American ambassador Benjamin Franklin. These learned men concluded that what mesmer did was just to hypnotise(mesmerize) the patient and the suggestions and expectations cured the patients and not the magnetic field. Later the word mesmerism became synonymous with mass hypnotism and hypnotism.
After this event serious research in this field was started to prove and disprove the existence of any supernatural occurance. The first research and the most extensively researched topic I parapsychology is telepathy. The first experiments were very simple. People were separated by walls or topologically and the sender(the first person) sends a signal and the receiver(the other person) receives the signal much like the radio. These signals can be anything from symbols to pictures or words or tastes anything.
Experimental findings
Most often telepathy occurs spontaneously in incidents of crisis where a relative or friend has been injured or killed in an accident. An individual is aware of the danger to the other person from a distance. Such information seems to come in different forms as in thought fragments, like something is wrong; in dreams, visions, hallucinations, mental images, in clairaudience, or in words that pop into the mind. Often such information causes the person, the receiver, to change is course of action, such as changing his travel plans or daily schedule, or to just call or contact the other person. Some incidents involve apparent telepathy between humans and animals.
Women are more telepathic
Telepathy seems to be related to the individual's emotional state. This is true of both the sender and receiver. Most women were receivers, as case findings showed, and one possible explanation is that women are more in touch with their emotions and rely on intuition more than men. Geriatric telepathy is fairly common, this may be due, it is speculated, to the impairment of the senses with age.
Distance is not a constraint
During his 1930 ESP experiments J. B. Rhine also made some discoveries concerning telepathy: It was often difficult to determine whether information was communicated through telepathy, clairvoyance, or precognitive clairvoyance. He concluded that telepathy and clairvoyance were the same psychic function manifested in different ways. Also, telepathy is not affected by distance or obstacles between the sender and receiver.
An experiment in space
A telepathic experiment conducted during the Apollo 14 mission in 1971 proved distance is not a barrier. The experiment was not authorized by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), nor was it announced until the mission was completed. Astronaut Edgar D. Mitchell conducted the experiment with four recipients on Earth, 150,000 miles below. Mitchell concentrated on sequences of twenty-five random numbers. He completed 200 sequences. Guessing 40 correctly was the mean chance. Two of the recipients guessed 51 correctly. This far exceeded Mitchell's expectations, but still was only moderately significant.
Military’s own cause
The telepathic research increased significantly during the world wars, the reason was to psychically know what the enemy was planning. From the documents of KGB(soviet’s intelligence agency), they were successful in their research to great level. Following this the
The length of the post seems to exceed the human reading endurance, so shall continue the post some other time. The next post would be about experiments that can be done at home and find if you are telepathic or not.
Till then take care..
Blessed be..
