Coincidences-the way i feel about them...

Hello people, now you would have convinced that coincidences are really amazing thing to occur….

Now lets get to the science behind coincidences..let us understand that there is nothing certain and nothing is being governed.

According to Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle(one of my fav theories), that nothing is predictable, the basic idea is no one can say for sure the exact position of an element along with its velocity. This is because when you try to find the position of an element you hit a beam of light on the element and by analyzing the beam you find the speed and position, this beam slows down the speed of element and so u don’t have the exact speed and your calculation of where the element will be after a fraction of second will be wrong.

I don’t know if I was clear about the theory, but I can assure you that the future is unpredictable. So lets get to our coincidences theory, actually in our population of 6000 million(600 crore), there is a great probability for an event to occur, for example
There is a great possibility that 1 million people share the name Bill, and there is a great chance that 90 percent of them have a younger brother, and there again is a great chance that 20 percent of the brothers are married to women with their name starting with ‘R’.and there is also a good chance that atleast 100 of this 20 percent(0.81 million) have their wives name Rachel.
So now Bill being a Christian name we know that they are to live in some specified locations ,like there chances of living in muslims country is less, so most of these Bills will be in the places like US, the coincidence here occurs if they live in the same locality.
And its occurance is also possible, if it does not happen to Bill, it is likely to happen with John, Jack or with anyone…

And now about the most talked 9/11 incident, actually speaking, there is no coincident in occurance of number 11, if you were to calculate the sum of everything involved there you will find all numbers in equal proportion, but to create a coincidence you have to neglect them all….

Most of the coincidences depends on how much time you spend on them, so next you idle pick ur friends name at random and see what you share with them in common and if you know numerology, you will be astonished….

Now my favourite coincidence, this one is predictable.
According to calculations, there is a 50% probability that two person share the same date of birth in a population of 23. So in a population of 46, there is great chance that two people share the same date of birth…
Now one fact, in my class of strength 46, I shared my date of birth with my friend (Franklin Rajesh).
And you share your birth day with 16 million people so it is not coincident find one of that 16 million to be in your locality…

That’s all for today….
Will come up with few more things in the coming posts….

some more coincidences

This is one more post on some really great coincidences…

On July 28th 1900, the King of Italy Umberto I was having dinner in a restaurant in the city of Monza. It turned out later that the restaurant's owner looked identical to the king. The restaurant owner's name was Umberto, his wife's name was the same as the queen's and the restaurant was opened on the same date as the king's inauguration. The Restaurant-owner Umberto was shot dead the next day. So was King Umberto.

On February 13, 1746, a Frenchman, Jean Marie Dubarry, was executed for the murder of his father. Precisely 100 years later, on February 13, 1846, another Frenchman, also named Jean Marie Dubarry, was executed - for the murder of his father.

The British actor Anthony Hopkins [who shot to fame as Hannibal Lecter] was delighted to hear that he had landed a leading role in a film based on the book The Girl From Petrovka by George Feifer. A few days after signing the contract, Hopkins travelled to London to buy a copy of the book. He tried several bookshops, but there wasn't one to be had. Waiting at Leicester Square underground for his train home, he noticed a book apparently discarded on a bench. Incredibly, it was The Girl From Petrovka. That in itself would have been coincidence enough but in fact it was merely the beginning of an extraordinary chain of events. Two years later, in the middle of filming in Vienna, Hopkins was visited by George Feifer, the author. Feifer mentioned that he did not have a copy of his own book. He had lent the last one - containing his own annotations - to a friend who had lost it somewhere in London. With mounting astonishment, Hopkins handed Feifer the book he had found. 'Is this the one?' he asked, 'with the notes scribbled in the margins?' It was the same book.

A British officer, Major Summerford, while fighting in the fields of Flanders in February 1918 was knocked off his horse by a flash of lightning and paralyzed from the waist down. Summerford retired and moved to Vancouver. One day in 1924, as he fished alongside a river, lightning hit the tree he was sitting under and paralyzed his right side. Two years later Summerford was sufficiently recovered that he was able to take walks in a local park. He was walking there one summer day in 1930 when a lightning bolt smashed into him, permanently paralyzing him. He died two years later. But lightning sought him out one last time. Four years later, during a storm, lightning struck a cemetery and destroyed a tombstone. The deceased buried here? Major Summerford.

In 1899 a bolt of lightning killed a man as he stood in his backyard in Taranto, Italy.Thirty years later his son was killed in the same way and in the same place. On October 8, 1949, Rolla Primarda, the grandson of the first victim and the son of the second, became the third.

In 19th century Austria, a near-famous painter named Joseph Aigner attempted suicide on several occasions. During his first attempt to hang himself at the age of 18, Aigner was interrupted by a mysterious Capuchin monk. And again at age 22, he was prevented from hanging himself by the very same monk. Eight years later, he was sentenced to the gallows for his political activities. But again, his life was saved by the intervention of the same monk. At age 68, Joseph Aigner finally succeeded in suicide, using a pistol to shoot himself. Not surprisingly, his funeral ceremony was conducted by the very same Capuchin monk - a man whose name Aiger never even knew.

In Beatrice, Nebraska, on March 1, 1950, all church choir members scheduled to appear for group practice arrived late. Each member's various reasons for being tardy were unrelated. But it was a lucky escape. At 7:20 the church was destroyed by a gas explosion.

A German mother who photographed her infant son in 1914 left the film to be developed at a store in Strasbourg. In those days some film plates were sold individually. World War I broke out and unable to return to Strasbourg, the woman gave up the picture for lost. Two years later she bought a film plate in Frankfurt, over 100 miles away, to take a picture of her newborn daughter. When developed the film turned out to be a double exposure, with the picture of her daughter superimposed on the earlier picture of her son. Through some incredible twist of fate, her original film, never developed, had been mislabeled as unused, and had eventually been resold to her.

The twin brothers, Jim Lewis and Jim Springer, were separated at birth, adopted by different families. Unknown to each other, both families named the boys James. Both James grew up not knowing of the other, yet both sought law-enforcement training, both had abilities in mechanical drawing and carpentry, and each had married women named Linda. Both had sons, one of whom was named James Alan and the other named James Allan. The twin brothers also divorced their wives and married other women - both named Betty. And they both owned dogs which they named Toy.

In 1883, Henry Ziegland broke off a relationship with his girlfriend who, out of distress, committed suicide. The girl's enraged brother hunted down Ziegland and shot him. Believing he had killed Ziegland, the brother then took his own life. In fact, however, Ziegland had not been killed. The bullet had only grazed his face, lodging into a tree. It was a narrow escape. Years later, Ziegland decided to cut down the same tree, which still had the bullet in it. The huge tree seemed so formidable that he decided to blow it up with dynamite. The explosion propelled the bullet into Ziegland's head, killing him.

Some times these coincidences ponders us and compels us to think that there surely is some higher order governing them…..

This post is about co-incidences…

Well I myself don’t believe in coincidences, I believe that this universe fabric is intertwined, so there don’t exist anything that can be a coincidence to be precise I believe in probability, the chances of an event happening in a way to be coincident. if u know chaos theory, you would know that it is very evident that there comes order out of chaos…there are possibilities for a coincidence to occur in random….

Some of the greatest coincidences are given here…

1.Mark Twain the great author, was born on a day of Halley’s comet appearance, and died on the next Haley’s comet appearance day 76 years after. He even predicted his death.

2. A. Lincoln and J.F. Kennedy
Life
Both presidents had 7 letters in their last name.
Both were over 6' feet tall.
Both men studied law.
Both seemed to have lazy eye muscles, which would sometimes cause one to deviate.
Both suffered from genetic diseases. It is suspected that Lincoln had Marfan's disease, and Kennedy suffered from Addison's disease.
Both served in the military. Lincoln was a scout captain in the Black Hawk War, and Kennedy served as a navy lieutenant in World War II.
Both were boat captains. Lincoln was a skipper for the Talisman, a Mississippi River boat, and Kennedy was skipper of the PT 109.
Both had no fear of their mortality and disdained bodyguards.
Both often stated how easy it would be to shoot the president. Lincoln supposedly said, "If somebody wants to take my life, there is nothing I can do to prevent it." Kennedy supposedly said "If somebody wants to shoot me from a window with a rifle, nobody can stop it." Note that both these quotes are each 16 words long.

Death
Both presidents were shot in the head, on a Friday.
Both were seated beside their wives when shot. Neither Mrs. Lincoln nor Mrs. Kennedy was injured. Both wives held the bullet-torn heads of their husbands.
In each case, the man was injured but not fatally. Major Henry Rathbone was slashed by a knife, and Governor John Connolly was shot.
Lincoln sat in Box 7 at Ford's Theatre. Kennedy rode in car 7 in the Dallas motorcade.
Lincoln was shot at Ford's Theatre. Kennedy was shot in a Ford product, a Lincoln limousine.
Mrs. Kennedy insisted that her husband's funeral mirror Lincoln's as closely as possible.

The Assassins
Both assassins used three names: John Wilkes Booth and Lee Harvey Oswald. (It should be noted that Lee Harvey Oswald was known as just Lee Oswald prior to the assassination.)
There are 15 letters in each assassin's name.
Both assassins struck when in their mid-twenties. Booth was born in 1838, and Oswald was born in 1939.
Each assassin lacked a strong father figure in his life. Booth's father died when he was 13 years old, and Oswald's father died before he was born.
Each assassin had two brothers whose careers he coveted. Booth's two brothers were more successful actors and Oswald envied his brothers' military lives.
Both assassins were privates in the military. Booth was a private in the Virginia Militia, and Oswald was a private in the Marine Corps.
Both assassins were born in the south.
Both assassins were known sympathizers to enemies of the United States. Booth supported the Confederacy and Oswald was a Marxist.
Both assassins often used aliases. Booth frequently used "J. Wilkes" and Oswald used the name "Alek J. Hidell."
Booth shot Lincoln at a theatre and was cornered in a warehouse. Oswald shot Kennedy from a warehouse and was cornered in a theatre.
Each assassin was detained by an officer named Baker. Lt. Luther B. Baker was leader of the cavalry patrol which trapped Booth at Garrett's Barn. Officer Marion L. Baker, a Dallas motorcycle patrolman, briefly detained Oswald on the second floor of the School Book Depository until he learned that he worked there.
Both assassins were killed with a single shot from a Colt revolver.
Both assassins were shot in a blaze of light-Booth after the barn was set afire, and Oswald in the form of television cameras.

Family and Friends
Both presidents were named after their grandfathers.
Both were born second children.
Both married while in their thirties. Lincoln married at 33 and Kennedy married at 36.
Both married dark-haired, twenty-four-year-old women.
Both wives died around the age of 64. Mary Todd Lincoln died in 1882 at age 63 years and 215 days, and Jackie Kennedy died in 1994 at age 64 years 295 days.
Both wives were known for their high fashion in clothes.
Both wives renovated the White House after many years of neglect.
Each couple had four children, two of whom died before becoming a teen.
Each couple lost a son while in the White House. Willie Lincoln died at age 12 in 1862, and Kennedy's son Patrick died two days after his birth in 1963.

Politics
Both presidents were elected to the House of Representatives in '46.
Both were runners-up for the party's nomination for vice-president in '56.
Both were elected to the presidency in '60.

Vice-Presidents
Southern Democrats named Johnson succeeded both Lincoln and Kennedy (Andrew Johnson and Lyndon Baines Johnson.
Andrew Johnson was born in 1808, and Lyndon Johnson was born in 1908.
There are six letters in each Johnson's first name.
Both Johnsons served in the military. Andrew was a brigadier general in the Civil War and Lyndon was a commander in the U.S. Navy during WW2.
Both Johnsons were former southern senators.
Both Johnsons had urethral stones, the only presidents to have them.
Both Johnsons chose not to run for reelection in '68.

3. About 9/11…
The date of the attack: 9/11 - 9 + 1 + 1 = 11
September 11th is the 254th day of the year: 2+5+4 = 11
After September 11th there are 111 days left to the end of the year.
Twin Towers - standing side by side, looks like
the number 11
The first plane to hit the towers was Flight 11 by
American Airlines or AA - A=1st letter in alphabet so we have again 11:11
State of New York - The 11th State added to the Union
New York City - 11 Letters
The USS Enterprise is in the gulf during the attack; its ship number is 65N 6+5=11 [Or, maybe not. I received the following in an email: "We were actually about 12 hours away from the equator (I know this because we were about to have our crossing the line ceremony that night) on our way to South Africa. We had left the Gulf about a week before that and were relieved by the USS John Stennis (CVN-74 but also adding up to 11)."]

4. In 1994, a 60-year-old Dutchman named Cor Stoop took a cruise, became seasick and lost his false teeth overboard. Later a fisherman caught a cod which had swallowed some false teeth. Upon hearing about it on the radio, Mr. Stoop contacted the fisherman and was reunited with his missing teeth.

5. A girl lost her ring while swimming in a pool and after 20 yrs, on a fine day she was shopping in the market and brought some fruit and when she ate an apple, the ring was in the apple, well I don’t remember the exact trivial datas, it was aired on discovery’s million 2 one show..

6. The lives of Thomas Jefferson and John Adams, two of America's founders. Jefferson crafted the Declaration of Independence, showing drafts of it to Adams, who (with Benjamin Franklin) helped to edit and hone it.The document was approved by the Continental Congress on July 4, 1776. Surprisingly, both Jefferson and Adams died on the same day, July 4, 1826 - exactly 50 years from the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

7. If the density of the universe one second after the Big Bang had been greater by one part in a thousand billion, the universe would have recollapsed after ten years. On the other hand, if the density of the universe at that time had been less by the same amount, the universe would have been essentially empty when it was about ten years old.

The next post would possibly about why co-incidences are the way they are….
Or may be some more co incidences…

Till then
Take care…
Blessed be…
